    @JUSTTHEBEST12 I could make a 5160 steel machete for $20, I’ve got a bit of experience knife making (even though I’m more into making other tools)

  • blacksmither1:

    @TechnicusJoe all right, good luck with your new job

  • TechnicusJoe:

    @blacksmither1 it still has to be made, but I’m kinda busy with giving workshops and going to my new job (as a blacksmith too)

  • TechnicusJoe:

    @Lakesideforge I use sand

  • TechnicusJoe:

    @Lakesideforge I’m not, nor right handed, I’m ambidexterious, so I use both. I can’t remember why I started with left and then to right and now I’m going to back to left.

  • Lakesideforge:

    did you use sand or borax?

  • Lakesideforge:

    Didn’t know you were left handed.

    Looking great! Your videos are very well produced and it’s fantastic to actually see what you’re creating with every hammer strike. Looking forward to part 4!

  • Makermook:

    Very cool demonstration, Joe. Even without explanation, your videos are great for teaching. “Forge the round stock square to lengthen and narrow it, then forge round again.”

  • TechnicusJoe:

    @JUSTTHEBEST12 I don’t know, I’m not into knife making, and I’ve never made a machete before.

  • JUSTTHEBEST12:

    hey man how much u.s money would it cost for you to make me a machete?
